The FDI Whole Mouth Health project was launched in 2019 to promote oral health literacy as essential for oral disease prevention. A novel low-contact co-design study was launched across five countries in specific patient groups, including:
- United Kingdom – independent elderly
- Australia – dependent elderly
- Switzerland – university students
- Chile – expectant mothers
- Nigeria – schoolchildren
The study collected data about oral health experiences across the lifetime, which were digitalized to produce the interactive oral health literacy tool. We invite you to explore the tool and share it with your patients and networks.
This fun and interactive experience not only contributes to the whole mouth health data set on health literacy, but also provides a health education experience for the participant who will learn about the connection between oral and general health and other interesting oral health facts.
