FDI World Dental Congress 2027 heads to Mumbai
The FDI World Dental Congress 2027 (WDC27) will take place in Mumbai, India, from 21–24 October 2027, co-hosted by the Indian Dental Association. This will mark the third time FDI has brought its World Dental Congress to India, gathering the global dental community together for four days of scientific exchange, innovation, professional development and collaboration.
Hosted at the Jio World Convention Centre, WDC27 is expected to welcome over 30,000 delegates and visitors and more than 100 speakers.
Covering all major dental specialties, the programme will be designed with general practitioners in mind, offering practical, clinically relevant learning alongside opportunities to earn continuing education (CE) credits. The 4-day programme will also feature interactive, multi-perspective panel discussions exploring key topics shaping the profession, including AI in dentistry and practice management, digital and AI-guided implant dentistry, antimicrobial resistance and responsible antibiotic prescribing, advances in implant treatment, laser dentistry, and contemporary endodontics.
Innovation and industry will take centre stage, with more than 500 exhibitors expected to showcase the latest developments in dentistry. Going beyond traditional abstract presentations, the new Innovation Nexus will offer start-ups and innovators a dedicated stage to present prototypes and proof of concepts, creating opportunities to connect directly with clinicians, researchers, entrepreneurs and industry leaders
Against the backdrop of India’s rapidly expanding dental sector, WDC27 will provide a major platform for international collaboration, new ideas and opportunities for growth.
Registration is already open, while the calls for abstract and innovation submissions will open towards the end of the year, offering further opportunities for the global dental community to contribute to WDC27.
