Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager, preferentially with an experience of working in the field of health and the non-profit sector. You will have to demonstrate your ability to work in a multicultural environment. You need to be able to adapt and to have excellent interpersonal skills. You will work closely with the committees and experts of the Federation to produce high quality scientific and educational content and public health programmes.

The successful candidate will have strong knowledge and experience of project management, including developing and executing project plans, delivering projects according to timeline and budget, monitoring and evaluation, and writing project reports, ideally with an application to healthcare and public health projects. This is a fast-paced and varied role, which requires good multi-tasking and time-management abilities, excellent communication skills, and close attention to detail.

Main duties and responsibilities

Public health project management

• Manage key FDI public health projects.

• Coordinate meetings with project experts, partners and other stakeholders.

• Monitor project progress and ensure delivery according to timeline and budget.

• Evaluate and report on project metrics.

• Identify, source and synthesize relevant scientific content to assist experts in project development and delivery.

• Assist in the development of communication messaging according to project content and results.

• Coordinate the development of FDI materials internally with other FDI teams.

• Provide narrative and financial reports on project progress to FDI leadership and external partners

• Support the development, implementation and evaluation of communications plans for projects and partnerships.

Requirements

• A good understanding of the healthcare and non-profit sector.

• At least 5 years of experience in project management.

• Strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail.

• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.

• Excellent time management skills and an ability to meet conflicting deadlines under pressure.

• Excellent oral and written English communications skills (fluency in other language(s) an asset).

• Excellent team worker with a positive, solution-focused approach to work.

• Proficiency of Microsoft office.

• Willingness to travel.

• Valid permit to work in Switzerland.

Campaign and Communications Manager

Role

We are seeking an experienced and creative Campaign and Communications Manager to lead FDI’s largest global oral health campaign – World Oral Health Day. You will have a demonstrable track record of creating, managing, and delivering multi-faceted campaigns. You will help to enhance and maintain FDI’s profile and reputation, as well as raise the visibility of oral health issues across stakeholder groups. You will also support all FDI’s internal and external communications efforts.

The successful candidate will have strong English writing skills and extensive experience of coordinating multi-channel campaigns and measuring their impact. The candidate will also be competent in developing media strategies and messaging, writing promotional plans, material, and compelling news stories, as well as managing social media platforms. This is a fast-paced and varied role, which demands superb multi-tasking abilities, excellent communication skills, and proven experience of working closely with external agencies and service providers.

Main duties and responsibilities

World Oral Health Day (WOHD)

  • Lead the campaign strategy and work plan
  • Develop the campaign key messages, branding, toolkits, and resources
  • Write and edit content
  • Develop and implement media strategies, including digital media and create social media assets
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase campaign reach, engagement, and participation
  • Source external service providers where necessary and manage relationships, including media partner, media agency and other suppliers as relevant
  • Prepare regular campaign communications, updates, reports, and background presentations
  • Perform regular metrics tracking as well as a comprehensive post-campaign evaluation
  • Manage the WOHD Task Team and coordinate workshops and meetings

General communications support

  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize media coverage and write supporting material including press releases, bios, fact sheets and other backgrounders
  • Oversee the development of FDI’s media database of contacts and coordinate media monitoring and distribution services
  • Support the development and evaluation of communications plans for FDI projects and ensure brand integrity  
  • Source and write news stories as well as write content for promotional material, publications, speeches, presentations, toolkits, reports, etc., and coordinate their roll-out
  • Work closely with the digital team to maximize the effectiveness of social media channels
  • Other work as required to support the development of the communications strategy

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in communications, PR, or journalism
  • Excellent oral and written English communications with strong copywriting, editing and proofreading skills
  • A proven track record of campaign and project management skills
  • A good understanding of the not-for-profit healthcare sector
  • Storytelling mindset with the ability to turn complex information into compelling content
  • Extensive experience of working with a diverse range of communications channels
  • Knowledge of online multimedia tools: Google Analytics, social media publishing tools with experience in Drupal CMS an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
