FDI, International Atomic Energy Agency develop course on radiation protection in dental radiology

FDI was an active participant in the International Atomic Energy Agency’s (IAEA) consultancy meeting to finalize a 12-module training course and prepare an advanced draft of the Safety Report on radiation protection in dental radiology. The meeting took place in Vienna, Austria, in February 2017, which was a follow-up to the work started in 2016, with FDI being represented by Professor Ralf Schulze, Administrative Direction of the Section of oral and maxillofacial radiology at the Johannes Gutenberg-University of Mainz, Germany. FDI was joined by representatives from four organizations, including WHO, to finalize the draft of the Safety Report and the training material, which is available for consultation on the FDI website.
