The Lancet recently published a study titled, Alcohol use and burden for 195 countries and territories, 1990–2016: a systematic analysis for the Global Burden of Disease Study 2016. The study is particularly relevant to oral health, as it links alcohol use to four types of oral cancer.

The 2018 FDI World Dental Congress concluded on Saturday, 8 September. Organized in collaboration with the Argentina Dental Association, the Congress welcomed nearly 8,000 participants from around the globe.
The 2018 World Oral Health Forum this year focused on oral health for the ageing population. The project launched a Roadmap for Healthy Ageing to be used by dentists, policy makers, national dental associations, general practioners, and more.
