This year’s World Oral Health Forum on ‘Challenges of oral health care in an ageing society’ will be among the highlights of the 2014 FDI Annual World Dental Congress (New Delhi, India, 11 to 14 September).

The event, scheduled for the morning of 13 September, will be chaired and moderated by Prof Robert Beaglehole, former Director of the WHO Department of Chronic Disease and Health Promotion.

He will link progress made and to be made in noncommunicable disease prevention and treatment with the WHO resolution on the multisectoral approach to elderly patients.

The five panel members Include:

  • Prof Frauke Mueller of the dental section of Geneva University Hospital Division  whose focus will be on demographic developments, ageing processes, definition of multimorbidity and the impact on dental treatment planning.
