FDI is deeply saddened to learn of the recent passing of Dr Fannye V. Thompson, Chair of the FDI Chief Dental Officer/Public Health Section, observer at the Public Health Committee and member of the Data Hub for Global Oral Health Task Team.
FDI President Dr Tin Chun Wong and President-Elect Dr Patrick Hescot were among the group of distinguished international and national speakers to address the hugely successful World Congress 2015: Dental care and oral health for healthy longevity in an ageing society.
The spotlight is on the Middle East region for FDI’s Continuing Education Programme in April, with the first course of the month to be held in Yemen on 3 and 4 April. It is organized by the Yemen Dental Association within the context of its national congress.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has just launched its ‘Guideline: Sugars intake for adults and children’. It retains the proposal from the previous Guideline (2002) that sugars should make up less than 10% of total energy intake per day.
