IADS wants to expand overseas research programme
The International Association of Dental Students (IADS) is looking to expand its network of universities collaborating in its International Dental Research Programme (IDRP) and is seeking advice from within the academic dental community on who to contact and when.
The IDRP is the first worldwide dental research exchange network whose aim is to transfer and foster research knowledge to students wishing to make a difference within their dental communities. It offers talented dental students the opportunity to participate in dental research projects at a university outside their own country.
Student dental research internships—in practice, assisting a dental research project developed within a university partner of the IDRP—have a duration of about 2 to 8 weeks. Students are selected through a rigorous selection process.
In 2012, universities took part in: Armenia, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Egypt, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Malaysia, Poland, Romania, Russian Federation, Turkey and the United States.
Anyone in the academic community with advice to offer should contact IADS President Pavel Scarlat at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0040 769 680 743.
