The official ceremony to transfer the FDI’s Annual World Dental Congress from the Dental Association of Thailand (organizer of the 2015 event) to the Polish Dental Society (responsible for the 2016 event) took place during the FDI General Assembly on 24 September in Bangkok.
Thai Minister of Public Health, Clinical Professor Piyasakol Sakolsatayadorn, launched the official opening of the 2015 FDI Annual World Dental Congress on Tuesday 22 September at a glittering Welcome Ceremony in front of some 2,000 people.
In his address on 13 September during the FDI Annual World Dental Congress in New Delhi, the Thai Ambassador to India highlighted the importance of the upcoming 103rd Annual World Dental Congress to oral health in his country and to the Asia Pacific region in general.
The final tally for the FDI Annual World Dental Congress (AWDC) comes out at 19,437 participants and 1,836 accepted abstracts. The exhibition space at the World Dental Show covered 4,405 square metres, with 220 exhibitors.
