Stress is one ingredient that many students deal with on a daily basis during college. It can be caused by class work loads, funds, balancing a schedule and a number of other things. There are ways to help deal with it that are simple to do.

One of the first things that a student can do is to make a schedule of classes and assignments. Keeping a calendar that marks class times and assignment due dates can help to keep things in perspective. Students can now plan how far in advance they need to start some assignments and how much time they have to do others. They also need to work at classes on a daily basis. Getting work done ahead of time reduces the stress and strain associated with cramming in things at the last minute.

Students are also often strapped for cash, so setting a budget is a wise decision. Staying within a budget each month reduces worry about covering such expenses as rent, utilities, class tuition and food. The student should also try to set aside money each month in a savings account for times when things are rough and money is tight. This reduces stress to a great deal when it comes to dealing with finances.

An easy remedy is to take breaks and take part in activities that are offered around campus. Working out, intramural sports, clubs and related activities are the perfect way to give yourself a break. Exercise is one of the best ways to reduce stress of any kind and promotes personal health as well.
